Depending on the companies that employ him, he may work in the office or be required to travel often.

What qualities are required?

The in-house lawyer has a perfect mastery of his field of intervention, whether labor law, taxation, real estate law, economics or finance. They must also know how to apply their knowledge of the law to the reality of situations.

The in-house lawyer must show himself goal, rigorous and demonstrate a great ability toanalysis and of synthesis. He is fluent in written and oral expression and generally speaks English.

Salaries and career prospects

The salary of a beginner corporate lawyer is 2916 euros gross per month on average.

The positions to be filled are mainly located in large companies with more than 500 employees.

Training to become corporate lawyers

To obtain a position as a corporate lawyer, a Bac +5 minimum is required. Several training courses provide access to the profession. A DJCE (corporate legal counsel diploma) coupled with a Master’s degree in private law with possible specializations in business law, tax law, banking law, insurance law are particularly popular with recruiters. There are also specialized Masters in international legal management, corporate tax management, etc.
