Book and publishing professions: our file

In 2010, the conditions for recruiting teaching and educational staff were modified. From now on, all teachers, whether in kindergarten, primary, college or high school, must have a Bac + 5 diploma.

How to become a teacher?

To be qualified, new teachers must meet two requirements: have validated a master’s degree after five years of study; and have obtained the recruitment competition. Competitions to be a teacher in middle and high school, in vocational high school, or to be a physical education and sports teacher are national. Only the competition which allows access to the profession of school teacher is academic. This file presents in detail the teaching professions, from nursery school to university. You will also find a sheet dedicated to the job of CPE (senior education adviser).
