Who is concerned by the social integration contract?
You can benefit from a CIVIS if:
- you have over 16 years oldand under 26 and encounter difficulties entering the job market;
- you abandoned your studies before obtaining your license 2;
- you were job seeker for at least 12 months during the last 18 months.
What does the CIVIS provide?
You sign the contract with:
- the local mission;
- or the PAIO (permanence of reception, information and orientation).
This device allows you to be accompanied in your job search. You establish with a referent a action list to bring to facilitate your integration in professional life.
What is your status?
From the moment you sign a CIVIS, you are considered a vocational training intern. You are affiliated with social security.
How long does the contract last?
You sign a CIVIS for one year. However, if you do not achieve your professional integration objective, you can the renew for another year.
If you are a young person without qualifications, it is possible to renew it for successive periods of one year until you complete your professional integration project.
When does the contract end?
Your CIVIS ends:
- if you get a job for 6 months or more at the end of your trial period;
- 6 months after the creation or resumption of a self-employed activity;
- on your 26th birthday.

If you hold a CIVIS and are of legal age, you can receive an allowance from the State (maximum €450 per month) during periods when you do not receive remuneration for a job or an internship.
