Paternity leave and CSP+, it’s not the island for children
The higher their income, the less men take paternity leave. In particular those who earn more than 4238 euros per month, underlines the study of the Diversity and Inclusion Chair of Edhec. Among the factors likely to explain this situation, we find the partial compensation of income by Health Insurance – therefore a loss of earnings for fathers. And then, income being correlated with responsibilities and a heavy workload, these CSP+ fathers are more reluctant to go through the bottle feeding box. The problems faced by women with equivalent incomes and responsibilities are beyond the scope of this study.
The European Union finally sets quotas to feminize the boards of directors
10 years ! It took 10 years for the European Union to finalize and vote on its directive on quotas for women in the board of directors of listed companies. So it’s done. Large listed companies now have until July 2026 to put in place transparent recruitment procedures so that at least 40% of non-executive director positions, or 30% of all director positions, are occupied by the underrepresented sex. In this case, mostly women. France, thanks to the Copé-Zimmermann law, already exceeds 45%. This text therefore essentially applies to French companies that have had the absurd idea of locating their head office in countries that are not “women friendly” for their turnover.
“Aligned” democratizes career coaching
The Jobmaker platform has just developed an entirely digital coaching program dedicated specifically to supporting women in organizations. The advantage of the program called “Aligned” ? “It is aimed at all women and not just women leaders,” says Arthur Philippe, CEO of Jobmaker. Why are we talking about it ? Because the company Suez has just made this program available to 800 employees and it has been a hit from the very first days. Two coaches, Céline Alix and Bénédicte Crucis, have concocted the program workshops which help to work on limiting behaviors, impostor syndrome, communication with your N+1, etc.

CEO of the CAC 40: the preserve of men?
If we still had doubts about the profile of the CEOs of the CAC 40, we are reassured thanks to the “Route to the top” study, 2022 by the hunting firm Heidrick & Struggles.
92% of these CEOs are … men, appointed on average at 49 years old. Only 3 women are at the helm of the CAC 40:
- Christel Heydemann as CEO of Orange

There is no doubt that the best-ranked boxes will not fail to attract excellent candidates. Especially the younger ones. According to recruitment pros, young people today closely examine the CSR criteria of the employers to which they apply. If the equality index is bad there, for example, they no longer hesitate to move on.
Women’s rules: why (all of a sudden) are employers interested in the subject?
Because it’s a theme that is rising in the news and companies have understood that it was better to hang up the wagons on the subject at the risk of passing for reactionaries. For the sake of well-being at work. But also, so as not to undermine the productivity of their employees who would (supposedly) waste too much time going to get periodic protection from their bag or from their colleagues. All these reasons indeed lead employers to take an interest in the subject of the rules. Menstrual leave, free availability of tampons and other towels, collection of protections… the initiatives are multiplying. To (re)read on Cadremploi: .

Unemployment and divorce obviously go hand in hand
INED’s observation is clear: unemployment destabilizes couples more when it affects men. In France, being unemployed rather than employed for men increases the risk of separation by 50%, compared to 40% for women. However, the researchers note that this correlation drops in times of high unemployment. As if the fact of being millions of applicants reassured more and therefore made couples less pitch.
Running (bad) gag: women have been working for free since November 4
We would have liked to no longer need to talk about this chestnut tree, but it is still a wishful thinking. Since #November 4, 9:10 a.m., women have been “working for free”. To affirm this, the feminist collective Les Glorieuses bases itself on the wage gap between women and men. In one year, we won… one day. Last year, the count began on November 3.
The variable salary taken into account in the calculation of salary inequalities between women and men in the banking sector
Seized two years ago by the CFDT BNP Paribas, the French justice has just invalidated the method of calculation of BNP Paribas taking into account only fixed remuneration. From now on, this banking establishment will have to integrate variable bonuses into its equations. And this, for all employees of BNP Paribas SA. Namely those of head office and retail banking. And if this decision was a precedent?
